Locations The Garden Isle of Kauai offers some of the most beautiful beaches in the world as possible wedding locations. Not all beaches are available as locations, and all beaches are governed by the Department of Land & Natural Resources. A DLNR Beach Use Permit has to be obtained for a beach wedding and the cost depending on the size of your group will be between $75 and $200 for the 2 hour event permit. We will obtain this permit for you. Below are some of our favorite beaches. As photographers & wedding planners we must in addition to beauty also consider assessibility, location, and crowdiness of the beach (you don't want people in Speedos in your wedding pictures). In addition you would want to choose a beach that is not too far from your hotel or your wedding dinner. If you are staying on the East Side of Kauai, either East, North or South Shore beaches would work fine without driving too long. If you are staying at either the North or South Shore consider a beach on that side of the island, or the East side would also work well. We don't recommend that if you are staying on the South Shore you do your wedding on the North Shore, as this could be an hour & a half drive in each direction (and vise versa).
